Who we are
We are a congregation rooted in the Methodist tradition, committed to loving God and serving our neighbours. Our church is a place of worship, fellowship, and outreach, where people of all ages come together to grow in faith and make a difference in the world.
Brewood is one of four worshipping communities that make up Connexus Methodist Church — a united church across Brewood, Codsall, Coven, and Rakegate. Together, we share resources, leadership, and a common mission to bring the love of Christ to our communities.
Connexus is part of the Wolverhampton Methodist Circuit, a wider network of churches working together in ministry, outreach, and discipleship across the region. This connection strengthens our ability to serve, grow, and support one another in faith.

Our History
Brewood Methodist Church was originally built as a Wesleyan chapel in 1868, part of a wider movement that brought Methodism to rural communities across Staffordshire. Over the decades, it has stood as a spiritual home for generations of worshippers, adapting to the changing needs of the village while remaining true to its founding values.
Nearby, a Primitive Methodist chapel was also established in 1858 on Shop Lane, reflecting the rich diversity of Methodist expression in the area at the time. Though that chapel is no longer in use, its legacy lives on in the shared history of Methodism in Brewood.
Today, our church continues to honour its past while embracing the future - a place where tradition meets transformation.
