Who we are
Rake Gate is one of four worshipping communities that make up Connexus Methodist Church, alongside Brewood, Codsall, and Coven. Together, we form one church across four locations, united in our mission to share the love of Christ and serve our neighbourhoods with compassion and joy.
We are also part of the Wolverhampton Methodist Circuit, a wider network of Methodist churches working together in ministry, outreach, and discipleship. This connection strengthens our shared calling and deepens our commitment to being a church for all.

Our History
Rake Gate Methodist Church has been a cornerstone of the Oxley community since the mid-20th century, with records dating back to 1952. Over the years, it has grown into a welcoming space for worship, fellowship, and outreach, adapting to the changing needs of the local area while remaining rooted in Methodist tradition.
Today, Rake Gate continues to be a place where people of all backgrounds can explore faith, find support, and build lasting friendships.
What You’ll Find Here
Sunday Worship: Join us every Sunday at 10:30am for a vibrant service of prayer, music, and reflection. Communion is celebrated monthly.
Fellowship Group: Tuesdays at 2:15pm, featuring guest speakers and warm conversation.
Lunch Club: Last Tuesday of each month at 12:30pm, offering a delicious meal and friendly company.
Community Connections: We host regular gatherings with local groups, including the Rake Gate Tenants & Residents Association.
